We don't get to criticize Samsung's dominance of the KOSPI while our own ecosystems are dominated by a handful of protocols and a few key individuals.

The KOSPI's problem is that it's structurally fragile. Samsung is too big. The semiconductor industry is too cyclical. The entire economy is too dependent on export revenue from a single sector.

But here's the uncomfortable truth: many DeFi protocols are structurally fragile in exactly the same way. They depend on a single governance token. They rely on a few large liquidity providers. They're vulnerable to oracle manipulation because they trust a handful of price feeds.

We've built systems that are decentralized in architecture but centralized in outcome. And when these systems fail, the results are just as devastating as a stock market crash.

This isn't an argument against decentralization. It's an argument against complacency. We don't get to claim moral superiority over traditional finance while making the same mistakes in a different costume.
